Amplifying Creativity: A New Approach to Group Design Ideation Sessions

When we envision group solution ideation, we often picture all participants working synchronously in a room or over videoconference, likely sketching low-fidelity designs, and perhaps voting to build consensus on which ideas to pursue. However, ideation in this form often prevents us from thinking up our most creative and innovative solutions. In this talk, we’ll dive into neuroscience and psychology research that points us toward how to generate more creative ideas, accompanied by a real-world case study demonstrating success from implementing these findings. Attendees will leave this session with an understanding of how to tailor their ideation activities to align with each stage of the creative process, ultimately leading to stronger designs, happier teams, and better outcomes for users.
